The existing acoustic of the mosque generated a reverberation time of 12 seconds, which meant speech intelligibility and vocal clarity was a major issue.

Our design team using the latest acoustic modelling developed a sound reinforcement system that would dramatically reduce this reverberation to 4 seconds and therefore vocal clarity would be substantially increased resulting in a much better experience for those attending prayer times.

Our new audio system included loudspeakers that were architecturally sympathetic to the mosque interiors together with DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and professional mixing control.

AVT also provided a full HD (high definition) broadcast system that included engineering infrastructure to Qatar TV station specifications, together with professional studio lighting and multiple distributed HD camera locations.
